March 2019: BTC/ETH Bottom Callers Contest & Winner Announcements

Note: Deadline entries for long term bottom calls ending June 30th must be in by March 15th. Long term bottom calls can only refer to BTC and ETH lows after the day and time you’ve entered your call.

It’s the beginning of March and it’s time to call the winners of last months bottom calling contest.

As usual, this month’s winners will receive 10,000, 5,000 and 1,000 VXV along with an equity component for first, second and third place in the contest.

Interestingly, especially for the TA magicians, January’s BTC low was 3406 while February’s was 3405 and while January’s ETH low was 103.2 while February’s was 102.49.

That’s called a double bottom (maybe a 2D-double bottom with ETH and BTC) and a good indication that a floor has been built although it might be temporary based on the traditional markets being quite toppy lately.

This was according the following data sources we’ve decided to use for the contest which represents day lows traded on Bitfinex with API data endpoints distributed through Quandl:

The leader board will be published at the end of every month until June 1st 2019 with awards of VXV to winners along with equity components on a monthly basis. Multi-month entries spanning from today until June 1st are allowed with a grand prize winning of 50,000 VXV.
