How to Buy & Trade SBIO— A Step-by-Step Guide
For the ProBit exchange
Vector Space Biosciences (symbol: SBIO) bring innovations in the space industry to everyone on the ground. VSB functions as a company based in Dubai and the US and is an incubator of multiple spinoffs and subsidiaries each having a crypto arm and an equity. The SBIO token is hybrid token that functions as a utility token and equity token representing interest in each of its portfolio companies, spinoffs or subsidiaries. Details can be found here.
Step 1: Create an account
a. Go to https://www.probit.com/en-us/ and click “Sign Up”. You will be asked to create an account with your email and password. If you need help setting up your account, contact ProBit support or take a look at the FAQ.
b. Once your account is set up, login by entering your email and password.
Step 2: Verify Your Identity (Optional)
If you’d like to do this later since it’s optional, skip to step 3.
You are now on your ProBit account page “My Page”, and have the option to complete a KYC (“Know Your Customer”) verification process to unlock further exchange features, such as increased daily withdrawal limit, participate in trading competitions and Initial Exchange Offering’s (IEO). To complete the process, look where it says “Verification (KYC)” and click in the right corner of that section “Verification”. You will need an ID or passport for this process. If you prefer to skip KYC, move to Step 3.
Step 3: Deposit Funds to ProBit
Note: If you don’t have crypto, create an account and acquire (BTC, ETH, USDT/USDC, etc.) through Coinbase or Paypal. For these instructions to acquire SBIO, we will use USDT.
a. At the top of the navigation bar, click either “Deposit” or “Wallet” to access your wallet. Ensure you’re on the “Deposit” tab. Start typing the symbol of your asset (USDT) or select it in the dropdown. Copy the “Deposit Address”. This will be pasted in the next next/future step
b. Go to your cryptocurrency wallet or exchange (e.g. Coinbase or Paypal app) to send USDT. Initiate a “Send” or “Transfer” to the ProBit Deposit Address you copied in Step 3a.
Make sure to send a small test transaction first (e.g 1 USDT) to ensure that the deposit succeeds before sending the full amount.
Important Note: Each asset on ProBit (BTC, ETH, USDT, etc.) has its OWN
and INDEPENDENT deposit address. For example, if you are sending USDT
to ProBit, make sure to use the USDT deposit address. Please be sure you have the correct address before sending the deposit. If you enter the wrong address, you will lose your funds. It can take up to two hours to show up as “Confirmed” in ProBit.
c. The transfer will appear in you ProBit account wallet.
You can also confirm the transaction in your “Transaction history”, found under “Wallet” on top of your navigation bar.
Step 4: Execute a Trade
a. Once you have deposited sufficient funds into your account, click “Trade” and then select “Spot” from the drop-down.
b. You will be directed to the exchange. Take a few minutes to get familiar with the interface of the ProBit trading platform.
c. Search “SBIO” or “Vector Space Biosciences” in the input field of the market section on the right side of your screen. The price chart will switch to the trading pair SBIO/USDT.
d. Under the ‘Buy’ section, set your limit price and amount of SBIO you would like to buy at that price. Never execute a “Buy-at-Market” or “market buy” order unless it’s an absolute emergency or if you want the poorest average price execution or “slippage” — always use limit orders and if your order does not get filled, cancel it and adjust the price, set another limit order a bit higher. This takes patience for good price execution. Your order type will default to GTC (Good til ordered) which means the order will stay open until you manually cancel it. Once ready, click the ‘Buy SBIO’ button to send your order.
e. Your order will move to ‘Open orders’ at the bottom of the interface until the price of SBIO reaches your limit price, at which point your trade will be executed.
Congratulations! You’ve executed a trade.
Step 5: Withdrawing SBIO
Once you are finished trading, you may want to consider withdrawing SBIO to your own personal wallet. We recommend withdrawing SBIO to a trusted wallet like MyEtherWallet or Bitpanda (however, any wallet that supports Ethereum ERC-20 tokens will work).
Alternatively, you can store SBIO in a “cold storage” hardware wallet, such as a Trezor. Cold storage means your coins are not connected to the internet, thereby protecting your tokens from unauthorized access, cyber hacks and other vulnerabilities. Cold storage is a great option for advanced users.
NOTE: Do not send SBIO to an exchange that does not support that token, or they will be lost.
a. To begin withdrawal process, go to “Wallet” in the top navigation, then to “Withdrawal.”
b. In the withdrawal tab of your wallet, type in “SBIO” or “Vector Space Biosciences” in the input field to see your SBIO balance.
c. For the address field in this step, you will need the address of your receiving wallet. Log into your receiving wallet, e.g. MyEtherWallet or Bitpanda app, copy the corresponding SBIO (ERC-20) wallet address to send your tokens to. Return to this Probit withdrawal window and paste it into the “Address” field.
Under “Address origin” select your destination exchange. If your exchange is not listed, or you are transferring to a cold wallet, select “Other”.
d. Enter the amount you want to send. The associated transaction/network fee will also be displayed.
Note: Do a test transaction with a small amount first. Ensure that your wallet address is correct to prevent the loss of your tokens.
Press “Withdraw SBIO”. To finalize the withdrawal, you need to enter a verification code which will be sent to your email address. Copy and paste it to approve the transaction and you’re good to go!
Your withdrawal will be confirmed in a confirmation window.
Go to your receiving wallet to make sure that your VAIX have arrived safely.
Congratulations on your first transaction!
